BOWLING: The Varsity girls placed fourth in their final competition of the season. High scorers on the team were Morgan Weber and Kelsey Osterhage. The girls will be competing in the State Sectionals on Saturday in Carterville. Good luck to the team.
SCHOLSTIC BOWL: Scholastic Bowl Team results from our 3 matches in Columbia yesterday, the final regular conference play of the season:
Gibault Varsity 295--Columbia 205; Gibault JV 265--Columbia 105; Gibault Freshman 140--Columbia 75. Top Varsity scorer was Yosh Orlet with 7, followed by Reed Spurgeon. Top JV: Sam Schrader with 8, followed by Dustin Schrieber. Top Freshman: Sam Constantine with 4, followed by Claire Mueth. Thanks to the freshman and JV teams for a successful season! Varsity players WILL practice today (and the next 2 Thursdays) to prepare for the Masonic Tournament on Feb. 18.

SCHOLASTIC BOWL: Scholastic Bowl results from our match at Carlyle: JV team overpowered their opponents by a score of 285-60. Top JV individual scorers were Sam Schrader, Dustin Schrieber and Michael Lesko, followed by Jessica Altadonna, Evan Wessel and Brock McCarty. Varsity defeated Carlyle in a tense game: Gibault 225 & Carlyle 190. Top Varsity scorers were Yosh Orlet and Reed Spurgeon. Players going to the Columbia match today should meet in the regular spot shortly after dismissal.
BOWLING: The Varsity girls placed third in the Post Conference Challenge yesterday. High scorers for the day were Olivia Hollman and Megan Wodochek. The Varsity girls will be competing in another Post Conference Challenge today at Red Bird Lanes in Cahokia.

GIRLS BASKETBALL: Last night the lady hawks defeated Cahokia 51-43! Outstanding team effort by every player! Lauren Prader led the team in points with 16, followed by Allie Farr with 11. Congratulations to the seniors, what a wonderful way to close the home season!
SCHOLASTIC BOWL: Results from the Catholic Schools’ Tournament last evening found Gibault winning over Althoff but losing to Mater Dei and Marquette. For today’s match in Carlyle, players will leave immediately after school for the matches with Varsity & JV; Carlyle has NO freshman team. Tomorrow is our final regular match of the season. We play at Columbia, leaving immediately after dismissal. If you are driving yourself, please see Mrs. Hurst or Sr. Elaine. Columbia has all 3 teams. If Gibault freshman players do not sign up by 8:30 today, we will cancel their match. Regular Varsity practice will be held tomorrow.
REMINDER: Tomorrow is a Morning Schedule and Twin Day.
